Haas, Grosjean: “Free practice 2 is quite complex”

A day with many ups and downs for Haas F1 at the Red Bull Ring track. Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez, in fact, were unable to fully complete the work program planned for yesterday's free practice, leaving some important changes to the car pending for Sunday's race. The Frenchman was blocked by the rain that fell during free practice 2 while the Mexican, who completed a few laps during the morning, had to succumb to a mechanical problem during the afternoon.

Here are the words of Romain Grosjean: “Free practice 2 this afternoon was really difficult due to the weather conditions. The morning wasn't bad and I was also quite happy with the car, but during the afternoon we focused on the race conditions and we need to improve something. The car isn't bad overall, but there's something that still doesn't work. We need to improve grip and tire management. We will try to improve already in tomorrow's free practice 3."

Here are Esteban Gutierrez's impressions: “It was a very difficult day for us. It wasn't easy to have the right window of tire use, especially during free practice 2. They managed to do a few laps, but then we had a problem and the rain ruined everything. It wasn't a great day and we'll try to regain ground tomorrow."
