The Frenchman hopes that the problems with his car can be resolved quickly

Haas, Grosjean: “During the summer break we had the opportunity to reflect”

After an excellent start to the season, the Haas had some difficulties in the last races before the summer break, especially in finding the right setups that could give a good feeling to the riders. He was the one who suffered particularly Romain Grosjean who, after scoring points in the first races, struggled to see the top ten again.

The summer break was very useful for the American team, as they were able to review what they had done during the first part of the season, trying to understand what could have been done better and what to do to resolve the problems that are impeding the car and the drivers to express the maximum potential: “The last few races didn't go as well as we would have liked, we have made some progress but there are things we still need to understand” – commented Grosjean during today's press conference -. “We had the opportunity to do a reset on a mental level reflect on what we have done and what we could have done differently. But now we can get back in the car. Let's hope that the feeling is as good as at the beginning of the year in order to score many points. As a first year, however, you have to think that it is very positive even if there have been some difficulties recently, we have never been far from the points. We hope we can have a good race here too."

The problems of the last races mainly concerned the chassis and brakes: to resolve them, the American team will try to exploit the setups from the beginning of the year and, once these difficulties have been overcome, Grosjean hopes to be able to recover ground to catch up with the McLarens: “TheThe problem with the chassis and brakes occurred recently, perhaps due to the tracks, due to problems with the tyres. We will probably go back to the old settings we had at the beginning of the season. Our goal is to learn and do our best, exploit our potential. We therefore always look ahead we hope to catch up with the McLarens, although they have had good developments lately, but that doesn't mean we can't look forward and try to catch up with them."

The Frenchman then concluded by talking about his summer holidays: “I spent time with my family in Corsica. I had no internet or even cell phone, no distractions. I had fun and it was a pretty peaceful holiday."
