Grosjean. “Raikkonen fought regularly”

The Frenchman has big regrets with 3rd place in Hungary

Grosjean. “Raikkonen fought regularly”

Romain Grosjean finished the Hungarian GP in third place, aggressively passed at the end by teammate Kimi Raikkonen, and was halfway satisfied with yet another podium this season.

“It was very hard on Kimi, but he did what he had to do”, said the Frenchman from Lotus. “I fought to recover, but I had problems with the tires and the result is what it is. The same happened with Vettel: he recovered by putting on the Softs, but in the end I managed to bring home third place.".

Grosjean was very good at keeping Hamilton under pressure, before his decline led to him being passed by his teammate.
“We were close to fighting for the win, so honestly I'm a bit disappointed with today. I was blocked in the lappings, I lost 1 seconds behind a car and it's difficult to stay behind the leader on this track without making mistakes. Behind Lewis I was losing a bit of grip, so we stopped for our first pit stop but it was a real disaster. The second stop was OK, but I didn't have the chance to overtake him in the pit stop with the strategy: it would have been fundamental today, because overtaking was too difficult. Then I lost grip with the tires and finished third.", explained Grosjean.
