Grosjean: “Fourth place despite the accident at the start”

Romain Grosjean finished the Spanish GP in fourth place, behind teammate Kimi Raikkonen: another great result for Lotus, after the double podium in Bahrain.

“It was a good race despite the fact that we lost position at the start and with it a bit of front wing”, explained the Frenchman, referring to a contact with Bruno Senna in the first laps in which he damaged the vertical flap of the wing. “Today was cooler than yesterday and we weren't as advantaged, but I'm very happy with fourth place especially when you look at the fact that I missed the entire final FP3 practice session due to a failure. Both cars got a lot of points, it's fantastic for the team, I think it's a good result.".
Lotus is a car that is constantly growing but it still lacks something to win. “It was quite difficult for me at the start of the race, as it was difficult to get the front end working properly with the damaged wing, but we made some changes during the stop and by the end of the race the car was really flying. I think we made the right decisions today, although I think if someone had told us that we could finish third and fourth at the start of the weekend, I wouldn't have believed them.", concluded the transalpine.
