Grosjean: “Signing with Haas was a calculated risk”

Contrary to the saying about those who leave the old road for the new Romain Grosjean he seems to have no doubts about the decision to abandon Enstone due to the unknown Haas.

“As I have repeatedly stated if Renault had advanced the intention of purchasing the Lotus before the summer I would have stayed, but when the Monza GP was a few days away I received the call from Gene need Gunther steiner. The project immediately seemed interesting to me, so one evening we met, we discussed and with a handshake we sealed the agreement” – he told the official F1 website.

“Obviously it would have been nice as a Frenchman to race for a transalpine team, in any case in the future, perhaps in three/four years, I could return” – he continued.
