Italian Grand Prix, Paul di Resta satisfied halfway

The eighth place achieved at the end of the Italian Grand Prix da Paul di Resta, satisfies the pilot Force India, but not all the way.

“At the start of the weekend I probably would have signed for eighth place, but considering the pace shown in qualifying, we certainly had high hopes going into the race – declares di Resta -. I struggled at first with the weight of the fuel. Partly due to the load, partly due to the race pace which wasn't good with the medium tyres... The performance improved after the pit stop, when I used the hard compound and our pace was much faster towards the end of the race, but there was no way we could keep the Mercedes behind and with their two-stop strategy they had a little more speed than us.”

“We need to increase our lead over Williams with a few more points, but obviously Sauber look strong and have overtaken a lot of people. Let's take the positives from the weekend, we need to analyze the data and try to improve our race pace in time for Singapore."he concluded.
