United States Grand Prix: Penalties for Charles Pic and Max Chilton

Charles Pic will start from the back of the starting grid United States Grand Prix after replacing the gearbox on your car.

The substitution was made before qualifying, and therefore the mandatory penalty took the Frenchman from twenty-first place to last behind Max Chilton.

Chilton in turn had a penalty, namely a drive-through penalty which he will have to serve within the first five laps of the race. The sanction was imposed on him for having obstructed some cars during qualifying. The stewards reported that Chilton blocked Pastor Maldonado and Adrian Sutil between the penultimate and the last corner, the Englishman therefore qualified in last position but the penalty to Pic brought him to the penultimate place, however by virtue of this episode the commissioners decided to penalize him with a drive through.
