US GP, Raikkonen: “The problem in the pit? I couldn't do anything else."

Kimi Raikkonen's US weekend ends with a retirement, struggling with a lot of balance issues throughout the weekend. Although he was showing good pace in the race on the supersoft tyre, he was knocked out by a problem during the tire change, where the right rear was not screwed in correctly.

“I haven't spoken to the team yet, but I didn't know that the right rear hadn't been fixed correctly. I couldn't do anything else” – commented the Finn after the end of the race -. “When I left I asked if everything was okay because I saw sparks from the back of the car. Then I slowed down and had to stop"

Compared to yesterday, Raikkonen seems to have had fewer difficulties in the race, even if there was a lack of grip during the second stint on the soft tyre: “My performance was similar to qualifying. The others were probably slower than qualifying, but with the second set of tires I had no grip. Sometimes it happens with the soft tires that we have no grip, whereas when I put the supersofts back on the car was fine again. In the end we didn't understand the reason for this difference, but that's how it happened" concluded the Ferrari driver.
