Turkish GP, Free Practice 3: Vettel the fastest
Sebastian Vettel set the fastest time in the final free practice session of the Turkish Grand Prix. After an exit at turn 8 on his first flying lap, in the final, Vettel managed to put together an excellent lap, finishing with a 1.27.086, 3 tenths ahead of the rest of the field. Nico Rosberg (Mercedes GP) moved into second position ahead of Lewis Hamilton (McLaren Mercedes).
Mark Webber was fourth in the other Red Bull at the end of an eventful morning due to an accelerator problem which forced him to return to the pits. After 12 minutes, Webber returned to the track and immediately moved up to second place behind Vettel. Switching to soft tyres, Webber went out at Turns 1 and 4 before spinning spectacularly at Turn 8 on the final lap. No damage to the car.
Halfway through the session, Hamilton also ran wide at Turn 8 and ended up spinning. The Englishman returned to the pits with little damage and both rear tires flat.
Robert Kubica was competitive throughout the morning and finished fifth fastest with Renault, ahead of Fernando Alonso's Ferrari, Michael Schumacher's Mercedes and Jenson Button's McLaren. Only ninth Massa.
More problems for Adrian Sutil, in the pits for the entire session due to a hydraulic problem with Force India.
