Nico did an extraordinary job and I didn't have the best weekend, but that's how it goes,” was Hamilton's comment.

The Mercedes champion also lost the lead in the world championship in Singapore, but is now thinking about thinking race by race: “The competition is intense on both sides, On some weekends Nico goes very fast, on others I go faster. It's a combination of elements that need to be put together to achieve a competitive weekend and each one is different from the others. Six races remain to be played. Good results will be needed. I plan to take it one race at a time and see how it goes: I don't have any expectations, other than to do better than in the last races. When you set goals and don't achieve them, there are different feelings. I will push hard this weekend. Losing the lead in the championship certainly doesn't help, but when you are behind you have nothing to lose and the hunt is more exciting” concluded the Englishman.
