British GP, Free Practice 2: Vettel still in the lead

Best time for Sebastian Vettel also in the second free practice session of the British Grand Prix. At Silverstone the German from Red Bull once again preceded his teammate, Mark Webber. Third time, surprisingly, for Adrian Sutil with Force India, ahead of Nakajima's Williams, Alonso's Renault and Rubens Barrichello's Brawn GP. World championship leader Jenson Button was only 13th. Ferrari back: Massa 17th, Raikkonen 18th.

After the first 13 minutes of the session, the two Red Bulls of Webber and Vettel immediately took the lead. Webber dropped to 1.19.597 just before the half hour mark and remained at the top until Vettel beat him by 141 thousandths with 20 minutes to go.

Webber ended the session off the track, at Stowe, after running wide in the final part of the Becketts and hitting the curb with the inside of the car. The Australian then lost control of his RB5.

But thanks to little improvement from the other drivers, Webber maintained his second position.

Sutil set his third fastest time at the start and remained in that position for the rest of the afternoon. Of note is a small accident in the Force India pits between the German and Fisichella which cost the Italian his front wing.

Seventh time for Hamilton's McLaren while Trulli (Toyota), Rosberg (Williams) and Piquet (Renault) close the top ten.
