Belgian GP, Renault: very scary for Magnussen

Renault's day ended with a fifteenth place and a big scare for the Kevin Magnussen's terrible accident at Eau Rouge in the first laps of the race: a really fast point on the track where the Dane lost the car, crashing violently into the barriers. Fortunately the Renault driver is well, despite a small pain in his left ankle, and will be able to participate in the Monza race, scheduled for next weekend.

As for, instead, Jolyon Palmer, his race ended with a fifteenth place, after a good start to the race which had seen him climb up to the top ten: “We did our best qualifying here in Spa. Both cars got away well and we were in the top ten for a few laps. We could both have had a great race, but the Safety Car mixed everything up a bit. It's a shame we couldn't get a better result, but overall the weekend was better than we expected. I saw Kevin's accident (Magnussen, ed.) in the mirrors. It's not nice to see because that's a very fast part of the track. I'm glad he's well,” commented the Englishman.
