Brazilian GP, ​​Free Practice 1: Webber leads the McLarens

Mark Webber set the fastest time for Red Bull in the first free practice session of the Brazilian Formula 1 GP in a session characterized by good weather conditions. Webber lapped in 1.13.811, overtaking the two McLarens of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton who finished in second and third position respectively ahead of the other Red Bull of Sebastian Vettel. The first four are enclosed in 214 thousandths.

McLaren and Red Bull dominated the top positions already after the first half hour with Hamilton leading Button for around 15 minutes before Vettel took the lead.

Button then overtook the world champion after the first 60 minutes with Hamilton closing in behind him before Webber got the better of him.

Ferrari in fifth and sixth position with Felipe Massa ahead of Fernando Alonso who parked his car at the end due to engine failure.

Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg are seventh and tenth with the Mercedes, among them the Force Indias of Nico Hulkenberg and Paul di Resta. Hulkenberg was one of many test drivers in action today.
