GP Austria, Spielberg – Jock Clear: “a mix between a power circuit and one with high aerodynamic load”

Ferrari F1 – “It's a challenging circuit, very different from Baku, where we've just been, but also very different from Canada and Monaco” according to Jock Clear, Head of Track Activities at Scuderia Ferrari. “As always, we try to prepare with new components, updates and set-ups specifically designed for the difficulties of each track. Austria is a very simple track, with only five real corners and some long straights, a mix between a power circuit and a high downforce circuit. In terms of technical challenge it is one of the shortest tracks and this means that even the smallest details have a significant impact on the lap time. The circuit has been resurfaced this year, but we still don't know what to expect from the new road surface. We don't know what the impact will be on the tyres, but this applies to all teams. Maybe we will find ourselves in a different situation compared to last year but we won't know until Friday, when we take to the track for free practice."
