Austrian GP: 5 place grid penalty for Nico Rosberg
Replaced the gearbox after the accident in Free Practice 3
di Staff2 July 2016
Nico Rosberg will suffer a five-place grid penalty at the Austrian GP, as Mercedes mechanics were forced to replace his gearbox after the accident in Free Practice 3. Rosberg had just started a flying lap but lost the car exiting the corner 2, before ending up in the barriers.
The accident was apparently caused by the failure of a suspension, probably due to a hard passage on a curb.
