Tyres: the choice will be between Pirelli and Michelin
di 17 May, 2010
Stefano Domenicali indicated on Sunday that Avon-Cooper and Bridgestone are no longer in contention to supply tires for F1 starting next season.
The Ferrari boss explained to the press that the managers held a series of meetings over Sunday and that in the end they decided to postpone the final decision once again.
“It will probably take another week,” the Italian told Motorsport-Magazin.com. “Maybe next weekend.”
Avon had made a formal proposal to supply the tyres, while in recent days the teams were trying to convince Bridgestone to reconsider its decision to leave F1 at the end of the season.
But Domenicali revealed: “There are only two possibilities: Michelin and Pirelli.”
