Glock restless as he waits for the FIA's opinion on the diffusers

Timo Glock has admitted he is nervous as the FIA prepares to give its opinion on the legality of diffusers on Tuesday. The German's Toyota, Brawn GP and Williams are the fastest cars this year, but their legality has been questioned by the other teams, who - apart from Toro Rosso and Force India - will be present at the session of the Court of Appeal in Paris to hear the final opinion on the legality or otherwise of the loudspeakers. It is almost certain that the FIA will not dispute the advice given by the commissioners in Australia and Malaysia and by Charlie Whiting during the pre-season.

Ross Brawn said: "Even if they decide on a different interpretation, I don't think they will cancel the race results because they told us our car was legal."

Ross Brawn's former Ferrari teammate, Rory Byrne, disagrees with the legality of the speakers. "If you look at the Brawn-Mercedes from underneath you can see the suspension, and this is forbidden," the Ferrari project consultant told Gazzetta dello Sport.

According to the German publication Auto Motor und Sport, due to the design of the rear suspension and gearbox Ferrari would not be able to implement a diffuser like the Brawn one before the race in Turkey in June. Red Bull would also find itself in a similar situation, while McLaren, BMW and Renault could bring a new diffuser already for the first European races.
