Glock: "I had almost abandoned the dream of F1"

Timo Glock has revealed that he considered giving up his dream of returning to F1 after his disappointing experience a few years ago. The 25-year-old German made his debut in the top formula at the end of 2004, racing four races with Jordan before arriving in Champ Car and then in GP2.

However, the good performances shown in 2006 and the 2007 triumph in the cadet category earned him the role of test driver at BMW Sauber at the end of 2006 and that of starter at Toyota alongside Jarno Trulli.

"I thought about giving up," Glock told the Bild-Zeitung newspaper. "When Jordan didn't offer me a contract to stay in F1 I thought: 'Well, it's over!'".
