Antonio Giovinazzi, favorite to win the GP2 title, could reject an offer from Mercedes. The 22-year-old Italian could make his F1 debut in 2017 with a smaller team but according to Auto Motor und Sport Mercedes has offered him entry into its young driver development programme. The offer, presented by Toto Wolff, would include a season in the DTM with Mercedes.
“He hasn't been in contact with us for over three weeks,” however, Wolff revealed.
