Complicated day for McLaren

Only twenty-two laps for Button cause engine and electrical problems

Complicated day for McLaren

Bahrain tests end with some difficulties for the McLaren author with Jenson Button of just 22 laps which earned him tenth place.

In the morning the Woking team worked on the setup and front wing in the Melbourne version but it was interrupted due to a red flag in the final stages; in the afternoon, however, it was the MP4-29's engine itself that acted up, forcing the mechanics to replace it.

Once the fault was resolved, another one arose, this time of an electronic nature, so it was not possible to collect the data relating to the new parts tested.

However, the Englishman benefited from the extra thirty minutes allowed to test the circuit's impressive lighting system in view of next month's night race.
