Fry: “Ferrari quite competitive in Brazil”

Last Friday of the season for Scuderia Ferrari and the other eleven Formula 1 teams today at the Interlagos circuit, site of the twentieth and final round of the 2012 World Championship. A total of 131 laps were completed by Fernando Alonso (65) and by Felipe Massa (66) in very demanding climatic conditions, given the high temperatures. No technical problems were recorded on the two single-seaters.

“We are at the final stage and today it was important to be able to complete the entire program we had planned: we succeeded and it is already a first, albeit small, positive step” commented Pat Fry. “We worked this morning on the comparison of different aerodynamic solutions while in the afternoon we concentrated mainly on the comparison between the two different types of tires brought here by Pirelli. It's always difficult to give an assessment of the balance of power on the pitch on Friday and today is no exception. From what can be said a few minutes after the end of the session, we can say that, especially over long distances, we are quite competitive. We know well that, to achieve our goals, first of all we will have to be perfect and be ready to exploit any opportunity that may arise. At stake is not only the Drivers' title but also a second place in the Constructors' classification which for us still represents an important achievement” he concluded.
