Frentzen: “Age costs Schumacher precious tenths”
di StaffDecember 21, 2011
Age has slowed down Michael Schumacher according to his compatriot Heinz-Harald Frentzen. In the minor categories Frentzen, now 44 years old, was considered faster than the seven-time world champion, but Schumacher later became the man of records in F1 while the former Williams driver retired in 2003 with just 3 victories.
Schumacher retired at the end of 2006 but returned to F1 in 2010 with Mercedes. In two seasons the former Ferrari driver has still not managed to get on the podium.
“As you get older you tend to hesitate and become less assertive, you push less and you take fewer risks. Precious tenths are lost. I think Michael is at this stage of his career,” Frentzen explained to an Indian agency.
