Following Monday's confirmation regarding the registration requested by Williams from the FIA for the 1 Formula 2010 World Championship, FOTA today decided to temporarily suspend the Grove team's participation in the association.
Frank Williams, Team Principal:
"The FIA's decision, although questionable, is understandable. However, as a team that lives only for racing, and as a company whose only business is Formula 1, with obligations towards our partners and employees, request our Registration for next year's World Championship was inevitable. In addition, we are legally obliged by a contract with the FOM and the FIA to participate in the World Championship until the end of 2012."
