Formula E | Nico Rosberg will test the Gen2 at the Berlin E-Prix

It's true that it's difficult for a driver to stay away from the world of racing. This is the case of Nico Rosberg who, after retiring from Formula 1 in 2016 as World Champion with Mercedes, approached the emerging world of Formula E and electric single-seaters.

The German will test one of the Gen2s, the new generation of electric single-seaters unveiled at the last Geneva Motor Show and which will debut at the start of the fifth season of Formula E. Rosberg will be the first driver to test it in public and will have a 10-minute slot available before the start of the Berlin E-Prix, which will be held on May 19th. A highly anticipated return to the track: “I'm really excited to get behind the wheel of the Gen2. It will be nice to experience this high performance e-mobility car and let's see if I still remember how to drive!”.

Furthermore, Rosberg will test the car right in front of his audience: “It makes everything even more special to be able to take to the track in Germany, my country. It will be an honor for me to test the Gen2 of Formula E in front of my people."

Formula E of which Rosberg is also a recent shareholder: “After my retirement I became very interested in e-mobility and the positive impact it can have on our society and our planet. So I also believed in the potential of Formula E and that's why I became a shareholder."
