Formula 1 | Williams confirms Olivier Rowland and Robert Kubica for the in-season tests in Budapest

With a press release published this morning, Williams confirmed the line-up that will take to the track in the next in-season tests on the Budapest track (31 and 1 August 2018. ed.). As expected, Robert Kubica will return to the wheel of the FW41 and continue the development process started during testing in Spain this winter.

The Pole will sit inside the car during the second day and will have the task of testing all the new features scheduled for the return from the summer break (the tests, remember, will take place after the Hungarian Grand Prix. ed.). During the first day, however, the Grove team will entrust the FW41 to Olivier Rowland, development driver of the English team who had the opportunity to test the single-seater during the last in-season tests in Barcelona.

Here are the words of Olivier Rowland: “It's another step towards my goal of racing in Formula One. Everything went well in the Barcelona tests and it's nice to know that I will have another opportunity with this team. It's an important opportunity and I will try to do my best for the team. A driver doesn't have many chances and this is an absolutely exclusive club."

“Speaking of the test in Spain, the objective was to improve the feeling with the car, avoiding thinking about the time” the Englishman added. “We need more work to get the team back to where it deserves to be and I helped the coaches understand what was wrong. It was a positive session that benefited both of us. I am happy to have this new opportunity."
