Formula 1 | Williams, filming day scheduled for Saturday canceled

Williams' 2019 begins with what can be defined as a small inconvenience. After presenting the livery that will be placed on the new FW42, the Grove team has decided to cancel the shakedown scheduled for Saturday and to concentrate directly on Monday, when the tests in Barcelona will begin and the car for the new year will be officially presented. A decision that was already in the air and has now been made official. Renault should also be on the same wavelength, which on Tuesday presented the 2019 car only through the renderings sent to the press, while Ricciardo and Hulkenberg took the wraps off the 2018 car with only a few changes from a 2019 perspective, in addition, of course, to the livery being practically identical to that of last year.

“We had a very aggressive engineering program over the winter – admitted Claire Williams to f1.com. For this reason we made the decision not to take our car out on track during Saturday's filming day to allow the team to maximize time at the factory before heading to Barcelona for the first day of testing scheduled for February 18th."
