Formula 1 | Weekend to forget for Aston Martin in Austria

Unlucky weekend for Aston Martin at Zeltweg. Stroll and Vettel were unable to complete the comeback from the back, finishing in thirteenth and seventeenth position respectively. The Canadian had a constant pace but was unable to overtake the cars in front, while Vettel had a good race until the accident with Gasly, very similar to the one yesterday with Albon.

“The start was good, I fought with the McLarens after maintaining the position – Stroll said. I had some good battles with cars on different strategies, which was fun, although it was difficult to keep up with faster cars. It would have been nice if at least one point had been achieved, but we have to keep pushing and we will try to get back into the top ten in France."

“I got kicked out again – Seb said. Yesterday it happened with Albon, this time with Gasly and it seems like I have a target on my car. I had made a good move on the outside and was in front, also leaving a lot of space. He was beyond optimistic and he launched me onto the gravel. At that point the car wasn't in good shape and so my race was practically over. Before that moment I had already picked up some debris on the first lap, and all in all it was a complicated Sunday. I wasn't competitive on the hard tyres, while on the medium tyres it seemed to go better and I recovered until the contact with Pierre. It was an unlucky weekend, let's turn the page and think about France."
