Formula 1 | Vasseur has no doubts: “It's important to confirm in Baku after the points in Munich”

Alfa Romeo is looking for important points in the next Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the sixth round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. The Biscione team principal, Frederic Vasseur, has outlined the objectives for the next round in Baku, highlighting how Antonio Giovinazzi and Kimi Raikkonen will have to continue the positive trend that began last weekend in Munich. After the Italian's tenth place in Monte Carlo, Alfa intends to confirm itself in the top positions of the standings, so as to open a large gap in the constructors' standings over Haas and Williams.

“We look forward to the next match full of confidence in our team,” stated the Team Principal of the Italian-Swiss team. “Breaking the trend and scoring the first points in Monaco was important, especially from a psychological point of view. We finally managed to end a clean and problem-free weekend.

“We still feel a bit of disappointment with Antonio's final result, given that we had the potential to finish even higher, but it is certainly an injection of confidence for the next rounds,” he continued. “We arrive in Baku with the aim of Q2 in qualifying and a good race on Sunday. We hope to bring a good result to the factory on Monday."
