With a short press release issued on its website, the Alfa Romeo Sauber team confirmed the entry into the team of Simone Resta, former head of Vehicle Project Coordination at Scuderia Ferrari.
The Engineer will join the team from July 1st and will take on the role of Technical Director, taking the place of the resigning Jorg Zander. He remains, as reported in the official press release, reporting directly to Frederic Vasseur, team principal of the team.
Here is the French Manager's welcome to the coach: “Simone Resta is the best profile for a role like that of technical director. His arrival within the Alfa Romeo Sauber team marks a significant step forward in terms of the growth of the team”.
