Formula 1 | Toro Rosso, Sainz: “I'm happy with my performance”

The Spanish driver, who just today announced his engagement in Renault since 2018, he has only taken part in FP2 as the driver of the formula 2, Sean Gelael.

Even though he missed a shift, Carlos Sainz Jr he found a good feeling although there is still some work to complete before qualifying:

“Obviously I needed time to find the feeling behind the wheel, in fact I had to do some extra laps to make up for the lost time. I think we haven't fully recovered yet but we still have time before qualifying to be ready and I'm confident that we will succeed. Otherwise, I'm happy with my performance in today's session. We still need to understand some things that we have introduced into the car for this race, because at the moment we are not 100%. We will work all night to try to solve this problem.".

Daniil Kvyat he finished in thirteenth position but still said he was satisfied with today's work:

“A decent Friday, we did a great job. Obviously, we still have some work to do to sort out the balance of the car and we hope to be able to resolve this issue for tomorrow in order to improve the pace a little more. Apart from that, we can be happy with the start of the weekend, we managed to complete several laps and now we have enough information for tomorrow's work”.
