Formula 1 | Toro Rosso, Kubica and Wehrlein are the favorites to succeed Hartley

Robert Kubica has joined the list of possible successors to Brendon Hartley at the helm of Toro Rosso. According to what was reported by Auto Hebdo, in fact, Helmut Marko is also evaluating the Pole's profile with regards to the second seat of the Scuderia di Faenza, with the former Porsche increasingly on the sidelines of the project.

Hartley's performances, especially in the last Grands Prix, have absolutely not convinced the Red Bull management, with the New Zealander making several gross errors which have cost the team important points. Kubica, precisely in this sense, would be one of the main suspects in his succession, given that he can count on good experience and a large dose of talent. The Pole, we remember, is currently occupying the third seat in Williams, but the situation of the English Scuderia appears more doubtful than ever and the former Renault driver is apparently looking around, evaluating possible alternatives for the future.

Toro Rosso, precisely in this sense, would be an absolutely excellent choice, given the enormous capabilities of the Faenza team and the large investments that Honda has been making in recent weeks.

It should be noted that the names of Pascal Wehrleni, the Austrian manager's real passion, and Sean Gelael should also be added to Helmut Marko's list, even if the latter cannot yet count on the super license. We will certainly know more in the coming weeks.
