Formula 1 | Pirelli test, day-2: Vettel completes 121 laps with Ferrari

The second day of Pirelli testing also ended at Paul Ricard. On track, as expected, Ferrari and Mercedes, with Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas respectively. The four-time German world champion, who today took the place of future teammate Charles Leclerc aboard the SF71H, completed 121 laps, while the Finn from the Brackley team completed 112. In Le Castellet, home from this he year of the French Grand Prix, the day was sunny.

The work of both drivers was focused on understanding the 2019 dry tires: providing the Milanese company with important feedback regarding the new tires was the objective of the two teams involved in the fight for the title.

The Pirelli test calendar still includes two stages: 9-10 October in Suzuka, 30 October in Mexico City. The teams involved will be Renault and Sauber respectively, who will test next season's slick tyres.
