The Spaniard answers questions in the Bahrain press conference

Formula 1 | Sainz was convinced to renew with Ferrari

F1 tests – This afternoon Carlos Sainz he took to the track with his Ferrari SF-24 during tests in Bahrain. After the lunch break the Spaniard then took possession of the car from Charles Leclerc, and finished third overall on the day, 1.2 seconds behind Verstappen and with the time of 1: 32.584, completing 69 laps for a totalneed 373 km. Before this, however, he was the protagonist in a press conference, in which he obviously talked about his future and the state of mind that currently surrounds him. Carlos did not shy away from what could also have been uncomfortable questions, but more than obvious given the great market movement that effectively involved him with the arrival of Lewis Hamilton in 2025.

“I want to do the best job possible”

“Emotionally I can't tell you how I feel – said the Spaniard. We still have 24 races to do together, but I will definitely be excited in the last part of the year, especially because I will leave behind a great group of people who I worked well with, I met fantastic people at Ferrari, and then the fans from all over the world have made me feel at home from the beginning, but we'll leave the emotional part for the end of the season, now let's keep our heads down and try to do the best job possible. I know that Fred and everyone else will support me, we will be fighting and we will try to achieve a great result by pushing hard."

Sainz: “The situation changed very quickly”

“I have many opportunities for the future, and in reality it was already decided before the start of the championship, given that I won't be in Ferrari next year and it's something unexpected, given that I was thinking of renewing and everything seemed to be going in that direction , but then it went as you all know. Obviously the situation has changed completely compared to what I thought in October and November last year. At the moment I'm free for 2025 and I still don't know where I'll end up, I need to take some time for myself to decide the best possible destination for the next few years, we'll see who will give me the opportunity to choose a winning project in Formula 1."
