Formula 1 | Russell and Latifi in unison: “We can't wait to race at Silverstone”

George Russell and Nicholas Latifi can't wait to get on track to face the next British Grand Prix, the tenth round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. The Williams standard-bearers, after the Englishman's 11th place in Austria, they intend to confirm themselves in the central areas of the starting grid, with the aim of winning the first points of this championship. To do this they will try to make the most of the new race format introduced by Liberty Media for the weekend, with the starting grid for Sunday's race which will be established based on the placing obtained in a 100 kilometer mini-race to be held at Saturday.

“I'm really excited for my home race,” said George Russell. “It will be great to have all the British fans back in the stands. I am sure that the new format will prove to be a challenge for everyone, so we will have to be good at exploiting any opportunity that comes our way. All in all, the British Grand Prix always offers great emotions. The fans are fantastic and the circuit always offers great racing."

Nicholas Latifi is also enthusiastic: “I'm super excited for the Grand Prix at Silverstone. It is by far my favorite circuit on the calendar. The nature of the curves makes it a perfect track for these new generation Formula 1 cars. It's exhilarating to tackle corners at such a high speed and with such significant G forces. It's a real challenge not only for the package, but also for us riders. It will be the home race for the team, so it will be a special weekend. I hope to end a very strong weekend."
