Formula 1 | Renault, Ocon on tests: "We need to work on balance"

Speaking to the columns of the newspaper Le Figaro, Esteban Ocon spoke about the first kilometers traveled with the Renault, underlining how the first impact with the single-seater was absolutely positive. Despite the difficulties related to adaptation, in fact, the Frenchman completed numerous laps at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, gathering a lot of information on tires and balance. Important aspects that will allow the French team to direct development in view of 2020.

“The biggest difference is that I have more space in the car,” said Esteban Ocon at the end of the two-day test at the Yas Marina Circuit Abu Dhabi. “The Renault was built for Nico and Daniel, while the Mercedes was made to the measurements of Lewis and Valtteri. We need to work on the balance and that's something we will work on carefully over the next few days. There will only be three days of testing next year, which will make me appreciate every single minute in the car."
