Formula 1 | Red Bull, O'Ward and Auer on the launch pad after Ticktum's farewell

Pierre Gasly's Red Bull seat wobbles

Marko ready to revolutionize the Academy line-up in view of 2020
Formula 1 | Red Bull, O'Ward and Auer on the launch pad after Ticktum's farewell

After the sudden farewell of Dan Ticktum to the Red Bull youth program, Patricio O'Ward and Lucas Auer would be the chosen ones to climb towards Scuderia Toro Rosso.

According to what was reported by the Kurier newspaper, in fact, Helmut Marko would be ready to reward the excellent performances of the two drivers in question, especially if Pierre Gasly does not make a change to his season in Red Bull.

O'Ward, we remember, has been part of the Academy since May and in the last round in Spielberg he had the opportunity to make his debut in Formula 2. An important opportunity that has allowed him to better prepare for his next adventure in Japan ( O'Ward will take Tictkum's place within the Mugen.ed team).

As for Auer, however, the Austrian is showing excellent potential in Super Formula, an aspect that could include him in the list of possible candidates within the Faenza team.

Helmut Marko, we remember, did not question Pierre Gasly's seat, at least until the end of this season, underlining however that the Frenchman must make a change to his season, given the fight with Ferrari for second place in the constructors' championship.

We will see in the coming weeks how the driver situation within Red Bull will evolve.
