Formula 1 | Red Bull, Marko on Ricciardo's renewal: "We want to confirm it, but we wouldn't offer him an indispensable contract"

In an interview given to Auto Hebdo, Helmut Marko spoke about the situation linked to Daniel Ricciardo, underlining how Red Bull will not give the Australian a “must-have” contract. According to what the Austrian reported, in fact, the Scuderia from Milton Keynes aims to confirm its line-up also in the future, especially after the excellent results of last season, but it will not allow Ricciardo to put himself in a situation of absolute advantage in economic terms and “strength” within the team.

Here are the words of Helmut Marko: "I have a good relationship with Daniel and I hope he stays with us for other seasons, but we will not offer a one-size-fits-all contract. Agreements must be beneficial to both parties. We will not allow a situation where the pilot he has all the cards in his hand and we have no intention of arguing about this. There is still time to find a meeting point."
