Formula 1 | Red Bull, Coronel perplexed: “I would have promoted Kvyat”

Interviewed by the Dutch press, Tom Coronel commented on the recent change at Red Bull, underlining how the Austrian team is playing an extremely risky card, especially for the career of the young Albon.

For the Thai, this is in fact the first experience in a top team, an aspect that will have to be kept under observation for the continuation of this championship, given that there is no guarantee on the performances of the former Toro Rosso driver.

“I would have taken Kvyat,” said Tom Coronel. “We are talking about a rider comparable to Nico Hulkenberg or Kevin Magnussen, that is, good, fast and expert. Besides, he has nothing to lose. By doing so, Red Bull puts pressure on Albon, which risks burning him out. They probably saw something in him."
