Formula 1 | Red Bull, Berger: “Mateschitz is not happy with the team's situation”

In an interview with the Austrian organ ORF, Gerhard Berger spoke about the current situation of Red Bull, underlining how Dietrich Mateschitz is not satisfied with the team's results. The Austrian, despite this, specified that the plans of the Scuderia from Milton Keynes have not changed, especially regarding investments, and that they will continue to work to beat Red Bull and Ferrari within two/three years. Furthermore, the arrival of Honda could open up very interesting new scenarios, but this will depend above all on the Japanese companies' ability to improve their product.

Here are the words of Gerhard Berger: “I don't think he's tired of Formula One. I think this is completely wrong thinking. Of course he is not happy with the team's situation, especially this year, but Red Bull is still a very good team and no one at the top has left. Newey still plays his role and so we will just have to be patient. Mateschtiz has faced situations like this before and I am sure that the whole team will be able to get out of it. It's a difficult moment, but Honda's arrival in Toro Rosso could open up new, very interesting scenarios in the short and above all long term."
