Formula 1 | Racing Point, Perez returns to the stewards' episode: "Very bad situation"

Interviewed by the press on the dangerous episode linked to the marshals during the last Monaco Grand Prix, Sergio Perez underlined how the marshals' maneuver was extremely dangerous, given that their action on the track created a serious dangerous situation, especially for the their safety.

The Racing Point standard-bearer, we remember, found two marshals exiting the pit lane during the safety car regime, an aspect which first forced him to brake and then to change trajectory. A crazy dangerous situation that risked triggering a real tragedy on the track.

“It was a really bad situation,” said Sergio Perez. “They were working on the track while I was coming out of the pits and this forced me to brake. They were very lucky.".

Despite the episode, however, Perez wanted to thank the commissioners for their work: “Generally they are very good. Obviously the safety of the marshals and pilots comes first."
