Formula 1 | Racing Point Force India, Perez close to confirmation for 2019 too

Sergio Perez would be about to renew his agreement with Racing Point Force India also for the 2019 season. According to what was reported by some sources within the paddock, in fact, the Mexican has already signed with Lawrance Stroll's new team for the next championship and all that is missing is the official announcement to conclude a negotiation that started several weeks ago.

“Checo”, we remember, would be joined by Lance Stroll, with the latter potentially leaving Williams at the end of the next Italian Grand Prix (he would have already taken a seat with the new team in recent days. Ed.).

Here are the words of Sergio Perez: “The announcement is a team timing issue, but I already know where I will be next year and the team in question will make the announcement when and where they want.”

On Racing Point Force India he added: “The team now has a good budget and therefore great potential to express. The objective is to raise our level over the next few seasons and I believe it is not impossible to aspire to the top three places in the rankings."
