Formula 1 | Ocon: “Force India is a top team”

In an interview with Auto Hebdo, Esteban Ocon spoke about the objectives for the 2017 season, underlining the enormous potential of the Force India team for the next championship. The former Manor Frenchman, winner of the Formula 3 Europe two years ago, explained that the Indian team's objective is to replicate the fourth place in the constructors' standings achieved last season, perhaps achieving a few podiums. Pretty clear ideas for a young man who, despite the few Formula One Grands Prix under his belt, wants to impress in his first year in a mid-ranking team.

Here are the words of the French talent: “Force India's objective is to finish in the top three places in the constructors' championship. This means having to battle with the top teams, but we are ready for this eventuality and the new regulations allow us to take risks. I signed a two-year contract with this team, but I don't want to waste time. Yes, I will have to learn some circuits like Melbourne, Shanghai, Baku and Monaco, but the intention is to score points every race. I want to be fast right away."
