Formula 1 | Ocon disappointed after qualifying in Singapore: “It's not the result I expected”

Great disappointment for Esteban Ocon at the end of the qualifying session valid for the Singapore Grand Prix, 17th round of the 2022 Formula 1 world championship. The Frenchman, due to some brake problems, was unable to pass Q1 and will be forced starting from 18th place, far from the top positions in the rankings. A disappointing placing which obviously complicates the plans for the race scheduled for tomorrow at 15.00 pm.

“Today's qualifying was difficult, at least on my side of the garage, and not getting through Q1 disappointed me a lot,” said the Frenchman from Alpine. “The pace shown in free practice was strong and I didn't expect a Saturday like this. Unfortunately I had a brake problem that didn't allow me to express myself at my best. Looking at the glass half full, I would say that we have the pace to recover up to the points zone. Overtaking is difficult, but as always we will give our all to get the best possible result."
