Formula 1 | Ocon: “Alonso is among the best drivers”

In a chat given to the columns of Soymotor at the end of the last Qatar Grand Prix, the third to last round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship, Esteban Ocon did not mince words to describe his admiration towards Fernando Alonso, specifying how the two-time World Champion, in Losail, once again demonstrated his talent at the wheel of a Formula 1 car.

According to the Frenchman, protagonist of a victory this year with Alpine, the Iberian reiterated how important his presence is within the Enstone-based team, specifying how the results obtained in his career place him among the best that have ever raced in the Circus.

“For years I have had a deep and enormous respect for Fernando,” said the Frenchman. “I know how hard he works and I know the motivation, the experience and how much he has achieved in his career. These are more than impressive results. I think he is a legend and I think he is up there, with the best riders, in the Olympus of this sport”.
