Formula 1 | Monza asks Liberty Media for a discount for the 2020 contract

After the latest rumors regarding the world event in Miami, offered by Liberty Media almost free of charge, Monza is reportedly negotiating a contract renewal with considerably lower economic terms than those currently in force.

The Autodromo Brianza, we remember, signed an agreement in 2016 until 2018, ensuring the former owner of the Circus, Bernie Ecclestone, a figure close to 20 million. As for next year's race, however, the ACI has guaranteed Liberty a budget close to 24 million. The objective for the next renewal, as stated by some sources, would be to bring this tax down to an amount equal to 15 million, so as to be able to amortize the losses due to the organization of the world event. The negotiation between the promoters and Liberty is currently underway on a five-year basis (from 2020 to 2024) and in the coming weeks there could be some interesting news in this sense.
