“It was nice to get back on track and I thank the team for the extraordinary work done with this update – Hamilton said. The car went very well in the race, we have a pace that is close to that of the top, and this is fantastic. At first I was unlucky with the puncture, but I didn't give up. It was a lot hotter than expected, and it's pretty tough for everyone with these cars. At the end of the race I had to drive with half throttle to cool the car and the engine and therefore I gave up the position to Sainz. However, considering where I finished, I mean, I was last thirty seconds behind the one in front, I kept pushing and hoped for better. We still have the rebound, but not on the straight, and in the corners it's not as bad as before. It's nice to have a similar pace to that of the leaders."
