In a report broadcast yesterday, Mara Sangiorgio analyzed the performances shown by Mercedes at the start of the 2019 season, underlining how Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas have practically won almost all the points available in the three rounds of Melbourne, Sakhir and Shanghai.

Leaving aside the additional points from Bahrain and China, the English team has practically collected 130 points (three one-twos plus Bottas' fastest lap in Australia. Ed.), confirming a crazy form. A situation that is quite worrying for Ferrari, given that in Shanghai the SF90 did not prove to be up to the task, especially in terms of race pace.

Baku, precisely in this sense, will be the first real Grand Prix from inside or outside for the Red, given that Mercedes' advantage in both world rankings no longer allows the slightest margin of error. Another one-two, in fact, would allow Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas to open a gap that would be difficult to fill in the short term.
