Valtteri Bottas obtained pole position in qualifying for the Azerbaijan GP in Baku, beating his teammate, Lewis Hamilton, by just 59 thousandths.
“I'm very happy, a great feeling to do it on the last lap. Ferrari was very strong but Charles made a mistake and was left out of qualifying, we did a great job to get ourselves into this position after some difficult tests. I managed to take advantage of the slipstream on the last lap but the corners also make the difference here, they are small details and I managed to make the most of them. You shouldn't compete so late."
