Formula 1 | McLaren, Norris recovering from tonsillitis
"I'm resting to be ready for Monte Carlo," said the Briton
Lando Norris was not at all well in Barcelona, but despite the tonsillitis that severely debilitated him throughout the weekend he managed to bring his McLaren into the points. Eighth place is probably the best result he could have achieved at Montmelo, and after a very short break of a few days in his Monte Carlo he is ready to return to the track, right at the Principality of Monaco, the "home" track of many drivers.
“It will be nice to run so close to home, especially because I can wake up in my own bed – Norris said. Last year was a fantastic race, and even though we're not back to that level yet I hope we can score a good amount of points. Qualifying on Saturday will be crucial, but it will be interesting to see how the race unfolds with these new cars. I'm taking these few days to rest and concentrate before Monte Carlo. The weekend in Spain was incredibly tough for me, but I'm happy to have brought points to the team. Now we need to make sure we are ready for the busy weekend ahead."
