Formula 1 | McLaren, Norris stopped by technical problems in qualifying

Complicated qualifying for Lando Norris, fourteenth and victim of some technical problems which did not allow him to complete the session. A real shame for the McLaren driver, given that the pace to at least get to Q3 seemed to be there. The race now promises to be uphill, and the Englishman must hope that the problems on his car will be resolved without incurring component replacements and therefore penalties on the starting grid.

“Unfortunately my day ended with some technical problems – Norris admitted. I didn't have the chance to get into Q3, which makes me nervous, but we will try to resolve everything in time for the race. There are many laps to do and Montreal is a track where you can overtake, so we will do our best to gain some positions and at least get into the points."
